Hunan Sees Nearly 30% Increase of Software and Information Service Revenue in First Half

Data of the Hunan Department of Industry and Information Technology showed that, in the first half of the year, Hunan’s software and information service enterprises saw a total revenue of 72.13 billion CNY, making a year-on-year increase of 29.2%. This had laid a solid software foundation for the implementation of the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy.

The software and information technology service sector surged in the first 6 months. The software sector ranked second in central China in terms of the industry scale, with its revenue reaching 45.55 billion CNY. The Hunan Creator Information Technologies Co., Ltd., the Wasion Group, and Willfar Information Technology Co., Ltd. were listed as “2020 China Influential Enterprises in Software Industry”.

During the first half, there were 8,496 companies in the 10 software and mobile internet industrial parks, increasing by 8.3% over last year. The Changsha National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone introduced 1,190 software and information service companies. The number of servers in the Dongjiang Lake Big Data Industrial Park exceeded 8,000, which earned a total leasing revenue of more than 50 million CNY.

Industrial structure continued to improve, innovation ability has been strengthened, and software industry sped up its service-oriented development. The Hunan Creator Information Technology developed such information products as internet + administrative service, urban governance, and supervision, and has participated in formulation of five operating national standards.

Industrial development environment saw continuous improvement. The 2021 Internet Yuelu Summit attracted nearly 15.9 million audiences and more than 980 million visits via online live streaming. A number of industrial leaders and representatives stood out, including 10 Hunan Software Personages; 10 Well-known Hunan Software Enterprises; 40 Quality Hunan Software Products; and, 50 top software enterprises.

New drivers have been fostered for industrial development. The China Greatwall Technology Group headquarter and industrialization project, and Sangfor Technologies cyber security and clouding computing research and development base, were launched. Dozens of projects, such as the Far East Holding Group Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, have settled in Hunan. More than 30 well-known software and internet enterprises established their national or regional headquarters in Changsha.
