A meeting was held in Changsha recently to deploy the preparatory work for the 2021, or the 6th, China International Food and Catering Expo. It announced that the expo will be held at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center between September 10 and 12.
The expo aims to showcase development achievements of the food and catering industry at home and abroad; promote exchanges and cooperation in new technologies, new products and new models; and, explore new paths for the transformation, upgrading and innovative development of the food and catering industry.
The planned exhibition area is 90,000 square meters, with 6 exhibition halls and 1 connecting hall. There are special exhibition areas for coffee, beverages, tea, wine, and food packaging; catering, food ingredients, and precooked dishes; grain and oil; and chain catering brands and franchisees. There is also a national comprehensive exhibition area, an imports exhibition area, a Hunan comprehensive exhibition area, and a poverty alleviation themed exhibition area. The expo is expected to receive no less than 220,000 visits.
The expo is a key professional exhibition in the fields of food and catering, domestic trade and circulation. It is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the People's Government of Hunan Province.
The first session of the expo was held in 2016. Over the past five years, the expo's influence has been continuously expanded. It has attracted thousands of leading brands of high-quality food and catering at home and abroad, with the accumulated order value exceeding 18 billion yuan.
