Xu Dazhe, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, visited Ningxiang County-level City, Changsha City on July 19, 2021. He came to inspect the high-quality development of enterprises and characteristic town construction. He asked to combine the study, promotion, and implementation of the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important speech delivered at a ceremony marking the centenary of the Communist Party of China on July 1, with the implementation of the spirit of his important speeches on Hunan Province. He called for promoting the high-quality development of enterprises; doing well in characteristic town construction; consolidating the foundation of the industry; and, striving to make the real economy stronger and better.

Provincial leaders Zhang Jianfei and Wu Guiying participated in the inspection.

Secretary Xu emphasized that efforts should be made to:
-Follow Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era;
-Hold the strategic support of scientific and technological self-reliance, the strategic basis of expanding domestic demand, and the strategic task of rural revitalization, to promote high-quality development;
-Continue to expand powerful enterprises and cultivate “Little Giant” ones;
-Highlight the main role of enterprises in scientific research, guide them to continue to increase investment in research and development, promote the close integration of industry, university, research, and application, and continuously enhance the competitiveness, innovation, and anti-risk ability of enterprises;
-Keep a close eye on both international and domestic markets, comprehensively improve the level of opening up, and encourage and support high-level enterprises to “go global” and “bring in”; and,
-Focus on the development of characteristic industries, actively inject cultural elements, and strive to explore sustainable development paths which conform to the rules for characteristic towns, so as to better promote the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.

He said that governments and departments at all levels should take more practical measures to create a market-oriented, legalized, and international business environment to provide a good atmosphere for corporate development.
