The three-day Hunan International General Aviation Expo lowered its curtain on July 18. Nearly 200,000 visitors, including 24,000 professional ones, had been to the expo. The effect of it was beyond expectation.

Fruitful results have been seen in investment promotion. During the expo, 46 cooperative projects were contracted, with the contract value reaching 20.86 billion CNY. These projects cover general aviation manufacturing, infrastructure, and services. The Hunan Yongtong Group and the Shaanxi Helicopter Co., Ltd. signed a purchase contract of ten Bell-407GXI helicopters, worth 500 million CNY.

A total of 317 enterprise exhibitors participated in the expo, including more than 50 Chinese and foreign leading businesses. More than 50 activities were organized, including investment and promotion fairs, professional forums, and flight attendant contests. The expo publicized more than 1,100 new technologies and new products. Business deals worth 220 million CNY had been made on the spot, and 3.15 billion CNY of business intention were reached.

The expo had a wide influence around the world. Envoys and trade association representatives from 21 countries, including Malta, Slovakia, and U.S.A, participated. International investment promotion reached the expectation. A number of foreign enterprises displayed their exhibits, including: 8 leading enterprises from U.S.A such as the Textron Aviation, and the Bell Helicopter; 6 Canadian enterprises, such as the Bombardier, Pratt & Whitney Canada, and Canada Champion Air Ltd.; the Smiths Group and the BSI Group from UK; the VRM Company from Slovakia; the Safran Group from France; and, related agencies or enterprises from South Africa, Austria, and Ireland. The exhibition area for international exhibitors amounted to more than 3,000 sqm.
