The Changsha Healthcare Security Administration organized a meeting on July 16 to launch the Hunan Provincial Unified Medical Security Information Platform in Changsha. After the new platform is put into use, more than 6,000 designated medical institutions in Changsha will be connected to the platform, providing efficient and convenient medical insurance services to the insured. This will further boost the informatization of medical insurance in Hunan Province, and enhance the ability to prevent fund security risks. Changsha Vice Mayor Liu Mingli, attended and delivered a speech.
The new platform is an important measure taken by the National Healthcare Security Administration to unify medical security information systems across the country. Upon completion, the platform will achieve network interconnection, data sharing and standards connection with the national medical security information system. It will also provide information technological support for Changsha’s standardized medical insurance business, convenient public services, intelligent supervision and management, and accurate decision-making analysis. Medical security data and big data technology will be used to achieve fine and standardized regulation of medical insurance funds.
Vice Mayor Liu Mingli stressed the importance of the launch of the new platform. The medical insurance system is undergoing innovation and reforms through informatization. The provincial “single network" information platform will be launched soon, which will involve great changes in the city's medical insurance payment. All districts, counties, county-level cities and designated medical institutions should make solid efforts to implement the tasks thoroughly. Debugging of new programs will be completed in August, and the new platform will be put into operation in September. People's medical treatment and medical insurance reimbursement should not be affected during the system adjustment period.
