As of 24:00 on July 17, a total of 1,068 cumulative confirmed cases had been reported in Hunan, 4 people had died, 1,053 patients had been discharged from hospitals, and there were 11 patients hospitalized (imported cases).

During the 24 hours of July 17, there were no new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases reported in Hunan. There was one new case out of quarantine (imported case). There were 13 people under medical observation (imported cases).

A total of 31,999 close contacts have been traced, among whom 335 were under medical observation while 31,664 others have been discharged.
