On the afternoon of July 15, Xu Dazhe, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, and Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, met in Changsha with envoys to China from 13 countries including Malta, Slovakia and Brazil. They came to attend the first Hunan International General Aviation Industry Expo.
Secretary Xu, on behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Hunan Province, welcomed all the foreign guests. He noted that Hunan Province is located in central China, with profound history and a beautiful ecological environment. It has unique advantages in manufacturing system, technological innovation, location conditions, and comprehensive three-dimensional transportation. In recent years, the provincial economic and social development has maintained general stability and registered steady progress. It has followed the normalized epidemic prevention and control work deployment, actively and effectively implemented prevention and control measures, thus providing a strong guarantee for steady economic growth, social stability and people’s livelihood. He continued, “We are now following the new goals set by President Xi Jinping for Hunan Province; vigorously implementing the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy; and, making great efforts to build a modern new Hunan. Making the general aviation industry better and stronger is an important part for Hunan to build the ‘Three Highlands’. It is also an important task for Hunan as China’s first pilot province for holistic low-altitude management and reform. It boasts good basic conditions, a broad market space, and a promising future. We sincerely hope to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning of experience and achievements in general aviation industry development between Hunan and your countries, through such open platforms as the first Hunan International General Aviation Industry Expo. We are willing to carry out more extensive and in-depth cooperation with relevant enterprises and institutions of various countries, and work together to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.”
John Aquilina, Malta's ambassador to China; Dusan Bella, Slovak Republic's Ambassador to China; and, other envoys to China congratulated Hunan Province on its achievements in reform and development, epidemic prevention and control, and the people's livelihood improvement. They unanimously expressed their willingness to take the expo as an opportunity to actively explore the collaboration potentials between their respective countries and Hunan. They expected to cooperate with Hunan in such fields as general aviation industry and aviation-related manufacturing, and play the vital role as a bridge to promote mutual exchanges and partnership.
