Wu Lan, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, presided over the ceremony. Zhao Chenxin, member of the Party leadership group of the National Development and Reform Commission, Ren Hongbin, member of the Party leadership group and assistant minister of the Ministry of Commerce, and Liu Yan, director of the Credit Supervision and Management Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), addressed the ceremony.
Other leaders participated the ceremony or attended the meeting included: Jiang Wei, vice president of the Supreme People's Court; He Chongyuan, former deputy chairman of the People’s Daily; Zhou Xisheng, former deputy chairman of the Xinhua News Agency; and, Hunan provincial leaders Wu Guiying, Ye Hongzhuan, Chen Fei, and He Anjie.
The two-day conference focuses on thoroughly studying President Xi Jinping’s important speech at a ceremony marking the centenary of the Communist Party of China on July 1, and implementing the deployment and requirements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on strengthening internet integrity, and the new development philosophy. It will advocate integrity culture, promote credibility building, and reinforce internet industry self-discipline, to foster a social environment featuring honesty and trustiness.
Nine high-level forums and related activities will be organized. A credibility building themed event launching ceremony will be held, which will refute the rumors concerning Party history, showcase the achievements on online finger dance event, and announce a Changsha Proposal. It will grant letters of appointment to the internet integrity publicity ambassadors, and help foster an environment of jointly promoting internet integrity construction.
The conference is guided by the Cyberspace Administration of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the Hunan Provincial People's Government; and, organized by the China Federation of Internet Societies, the Office of the Hunan Cyberspace Affairs Commission and the Changsha Municipal People's Government.
The China Internet Integrity Conference is an influential brand activity initiated by the China Federation of Internet Societies. It had been held in Beijing, Shanxi’s Xi’an, and Shandong’s Qufu. It is an important platform for information release, achievement exhibition, and exchanges and communication in internet integrity field.
