Libraries in Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan cities have offered interlibrary loan services, according to the Changsha Library on July 6. The service is also available in libraries, branches, and circulation service centers in counties and districts of the three cities. Resident of the three cities who holds a library card recognized by the Chang-Zhu-Tan Public Library Alliance could borrow books at any of the 681 libraries which have a collection of 9.21 million books.
It took 60 days to establish the alliance. The move aimed to achieve book resources sharing among libraries and their branches and provide interlibrary loan services for residents.
