Xu Dazhe, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary and Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee director, met in Changsha with Wang Bin, China Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (China Life) Party Committee secretary and chairman of the board, on July 5, 2021.

Provincial leaders Xie Jianhui and Zhang Jianfei; and, Sheng Hetai, China Life Party Committee member and vice president, attended.

Secretary Xu thanked China Life for its long-term support to Hunan’s economic and social development. He noted that Hunan is a land with glorious revolutionary tradition. In recent years, we have upheld the underlying principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability. Hunan’s economic and social development has shown a good momentum, and the people’s living standards continued to improve. The whole province is now studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech delivered at the ceremony marking the centenary of the CPC and the spirit of his important speech made when inspecting Hunan; carrying forward the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy and striving to build a modern new Hunan; and, advancing toward the Second Centenary Goal.

He expected both sides to take the implementation of the signed strategic cooperation agreement as an important part of conducting the campaign on the Party history learning and education; further communication and cooperation in the promotion of rural revitalization strategy, infrastructure construction, major project investment, comprehensive financial services, vocational education development, and prevention and resolution of government debt risks; and, achieve higher-level, higher-quality, and efficient common development. We will optimize the financial ecology, and provide high-quality services and a good environment for China Life's expansion in Hunan Province, he added.

Chairman Wang congratulated Hunan on its achievements in innovation, opening up, and advancement in recent years. He said that China Life will, focusing on national strategies such as the high-quality rise of central China and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, further leverage its comprehensive financial advantages; deepen collaboration with Hunan in terms of policy insurance, investment and financing business, and banking services; and, contribute more to the implementation of Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy in Hunan.
