People enthusiastically travelled despite high temperatures in Changsha during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday. Their cultural and tourism needs were met. Hunan provincial cultural tourism industry reported that Changsha’s 13 provincially-monitored scenic spots had 450,029 visits during the holiday, a nearly 65% increase over last year.
Chinese online travel agency Ctrip released its Dragon Boat Festival Holiday travel report on June 14. Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Nanjing, Xi’an, Changsha, Wuhan, and Zhengzhou were the top 10 tourist destinations for this year’s Dragon Boat Festival holiday. This is the second time that Changsha has made the top 10 most popular destinations since this year’s May Day holiday.
