The photos, taken on June 14, show construction of the Shitan Xiangjiang Grand Bridge is in full swing. The bridge, a crucial part of Changning-Qidong Expressway, will open to traffic in the end of 2021. It will play a significant role in accelerating forming of Hunan’s “3+5” city cluster southeast circle, and linking of the Yiyang-Loudi-Hengyang Expressway and the Xuchang-Guangzhou Expressway. It will optimize Hunan’s expressway network, improve its regional transport capacity, and facilitate all-round integration with the economic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
