The yellow peach industry of Hunan’s Yanling County was lively broadcasted, for 6 minutes and 59 seconds, in a documentary “Along China’s Expressways” on CCTV (China Central Television)-13 channel on June 12, 2021. The theme was “access to roads, industries, and happiness”.

The reporters drove westward along the Putian-Yanling Expressway, and arrived at Hunan’s Yanling County by way of Putian in Fujian and Jinggangshan in Jiangxi province. The live-streaming site was at the yellow peach demonstration plantation in Pingle Village, Zhongcun Yao Township, Yanling County. The story began from blocked-to-smooth transport in this mountainous county, and focused on its featured industry – yellow peach. 

The programme presented Yanling people’s prosperous lives based on yellow peach production, from three aspects. It includes: anticipated bumper harvest of yellow peaches; flourishing online sales; and, small yellow peaches make a great rural industry.

Branches bent with bagged yellow peaches, and villagers preselling yellow peaches through live-stream were recorded. The reporters interviewed live-stream sellers, purchasers, and farmers to learn about yellow peach planting and marketing.
