The Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology announced on June 9 that, the Changsha Secure and Reliable Computer and Innovative Application Industrial Cluster and the Changsha Advanced Energy Storage Materials Industrial Cluster are candidates representing Hunan Province to qualify for national advanced manufacturing clusters.
Changsha focused on cultivating advanced energy storage materials industry as a characteristic industry, and tried its best to build a China (Jinzhou) Lithium Valley. The Ningxiang High-tech Zone, where the advanced energy storage materials industrial chain is located, has become a national advanced energy storage materials industrial cluster with a complete industrial chain, a concentration of leading enterprises, a strong innovation driving force, and openness and cooperation. The output value of the whole industrial chain exceeded 10 billion yuan in 2020.
At the beginning of 2021, the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology issued the Three-Year Action Plan for Building Changsha City into a National Important Advanced Manufacturing Highland (2021-2023), to foster a new pattern featuring “1+2+N” industrial clusters. The Changsha Secure and Reliable Computer and Innovative Application Industrial Cluster is one of the two national industrial clusters that Changsha spares no efforts to build.
