Xu Dazhe, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary and Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee director, had a discussion with Zhang Gong, State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) CPC Leadership Group secretary and director in Beijing on June 2, 2021.

Gan Lin and Xiong Maoping, SAMR deputy directors; and, Xie Jianhui, CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and executive vice governor, attended.

Secretary Xu thanked SAMR for its long-term support for Hunan's economic and social development, especially for its care and assistance in China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone construction. He said that Hunan is now implementing the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important speech made when inspecting Hunan. Under the theme of promoting high-quality development, Hunan is implementing the “Three Highlands and Four New Missions” Strategy and striving to build a modern new Hunan. He noted that it is inseparable from a good market environment and high-quality market supervision, to turn the grand blueprint drawn by President Xi for Hunan Province into a beautiful reality, and to continuously improve the people’s well-being. He expected SAMR to provide guidance and support as always when Hunan deepens commercial system reform; implements quality-oriented provincial strategy; strengthens market supervision and law enforcement; and, ensures  four major safety tasks to be finished, so as to promote Hunan's market supervision work to take on a new look in the “14th Five-Year Plan” period.

Director Zhang remarked that in recent years, Hunan has implemented President Xi Jinping's important exposition on market supervision, and its market supervision has made great progress. SAMR will continue to enhance support for Hunan government in pilot free trade zone construction, strengthening market supervision, measurement industry development, and scientific research platform construction, to promote Hunan’s high-quality development through pragmatic ministry-provincial cooperation.
