Secretary Xu extended his holiday greetings to all the children across Hunan province. He said, “Children are the future of China. I am so happy to see that you are growing up healthily and happily. I wish everyone is like a sunflower, facing the sunrise in a high spirit; like a creeper, daring to climb and full of vitality; and, like a little bee, loving labor, working in unity, and helping each other.” He expected every child to exercise more and keep a healthy body; learn and master excellent skills; and, strive to grow into a qualified successor to serve socialism with Chinese characteristics.

He also sent cordial greetings to teachers in kindergartens and primary and secondary schools across Hunan province. He encouraged them to stick to their original aspirations and devote themselves to education; thoroughly study and implement President Xi Jinping’s important expositions on education; and, guide the children to love the Party, the motherland, and the people. Teachers should have a great love of education; dedicate to work; love and care for the children; and, make extraordinary achievements in ordinary positions. Governments and departments at all levels must care for and protect the children, and combine Party history learning and education with those concerning children’s livelihood matters such as early childhood education, so as to create favorable conditions for the healthy growth of children, he added.
