From January to April, 11 manufacturing innovation centers in Hunan have invested 228 million CNY in improving capacity building and boosting key research and development projects, according to the Hunan Department of Industry and Information Technology. A number of high-level innovative achievements have been achieved.
The Lens Hualian Porcelain Co., Ltd. was approved to establish a Hunan Advanced Porcelain Materials Innovation Center this year. It is Hunan’s first provincial-level manufacturing innovation center in advanced materials field. Thus, an innovation center cluster, with a leading national one and 10 provincial-level ones, has been formed. They have undertaken 12 national, 12 provincial key research and development projects, as well as more than 30 independent projects.
An Engineering Research Center for New Energy System of Railway Industry was inaugurated in the National Advanced Rail Transit Equipment Innovation Center. Breakthroughs have been made in additive manufacturing of key parts and components, and research on their physical and chemical property. The 3D-printed guide bar was lightened for 23% in weight, while maintaining a good performance.
A Weichai Power – Hunan University Collaborative Laboratory for Internet-connected Vehicles was founded by the Intelligent Vehicle Innovation Center. It made breakthroughs in vehicle sensing, location, decision making and planning, control, synergy, and coordination. Some key products were developed, including deep-sea simulator and intelligent mining system.
A National Network Security Industrial Park (Changsha) Industrial Internet Security Application and Promotion Center, which was constructed by the Industrial Technology Software Innovation Center, started operation. Its 411 industrial Apps have empowered manufacturing transformation and upgrading. It has 32 independently-innovated sci-tech achievements, among which 11 reach internationally advanced level.
The National Connected Vehicle Quality Supervision and Testing Center (Hunan) of the Intelligent Connected Vehicle Testing Innovation Center was approved by the State Administration for Market Regulation. It assisted Changsha to become the only Chinese city that has acquired three national licenses in internet-connected vehicle industry.
