More than 3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines had been administered across Changsha as of May 24, the Changsha Disease Prevention and Control Center said on May 25. Changsha has been promoting and accelerating vaccination since May. The time to complete a million doses of COVID-19 vaccines is getting shorter and shorter.

According to statistics from Changsha Disease Prevention and Control Center, 1,023,772 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered as of May 6. It took 130 days to hit the 1-million-dose vaccination mark .

As of May 18, a total of 2,113,685 doses were administered. It took 12 days to complete the second 1-million-dose vaccination work.

As of May 24, a total of 2.609 million people got vaccinated, with 3,057,741 doses administered. The third 1-million-dose vaccination was finished in just 6 days. The city has opened 264 vaccination sites or units, with 2,078 frontline vaccination personnel and 3,621 for pre-screening, registration and notification. They have been working around the clock since May Day. Many staffers and volunteers from health service centers, schools and companies also participated in the organization and security work of vaccination sites. This is to ensure that the target population of 3.36 million will be vaccinated by the end of June.
