The Hunan Provincial People’s Government reached a strategic cooperation agreement in Changsha with the Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China on May 19, 2021. The two parties will deepen cooperation during the 14th Five-year Plan period (2021-2025) to boost the implementation of the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy, and construction of a modern new Hunan.
 
Xie Jianhui, member of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Standing Committee and Hunan executive vice governor, and Chen Kexiang, senior vice president of the Ping An Insurance (Group) Company, attended the signing ceremony.

Ping An Insurance Group is one of the financial service supplier with most complete financial licenses, widest range of business, and most close-knit holding relations in China. During the 13th Five-year Plan period (2016-2020), it joined hands with Hunan governments or enterprises to launch 64 collaborative projects, with a total investment and financing capital of 270 billion CNY, which has given an impetus to Hunan’s high-quality development.

As agreed, the two parties will focus on high-quality development, aim at the real economy, and give priority to promoting supply-side structural reform in financial sector. In-depth cooperation will be launched in financial technology, industrial development, banking and insurance, opening up, rural revitalization, and medical service and healthcare. These would give play to the financial sector in boosting the implementation of the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy in Hunan, and provide strong financial support to building a modern new Hunan.
