The 2021 Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition (CICEE 2021) opened at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center on May 19, 2021. Xu Dazhe, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary and Hunan Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee director, announced the opening of the exhibition. Mao Weiming, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee deputy secretary and Hunan governor, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Before the ceremony, Secretary Xu and Governor Mao met with the guest representatives and visited the exhibition hall together.

Tian Yulong, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) CPC Leadership Group member and chief engineer, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Kaiyamo, ambassador of the Republic of Namibia to China; Quesada, ambassador of the Republic of Peru to China; Myo Thant Pe, ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to China; Soto, ambassador of the Republic of Costa Rica to China; Siyabonga Cwele, ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to China; Yao Ruihua, chargé d'affaires at the Republic of Vanuatu to China; and, provincial leaders Xie Jianhui, Zhang Jianfei, and Chen Fei, attended. Wu Guiying, CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and CPC Changsha Municipal Committee secretary, presided over the ceremony.

Wang Ruixiang, China Machinery Industry Federation chairman; Cheng Xiaoming, Hitachi Construction Machinery (China) general manager; and, Zeng Guangan, Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. chairman, respectively delivered speeches at the opening ceremony as the organizer and the exhibitor representatives.

The CICEE 2021, themed “Intelligent New Generation of Construction Machinery”, consists of four major parts: exhibitions, summit forums, business activities, and competitive performances, attracting nearly 1,450 companies to participate. There were 32 of the world’s top 50 construction machinery companies and 6 of the Fortune Global 500 enterprises. Nearly 10,000 kinds of construction machinery mainframes and accessories were to be exhibited, and about 10% of them have the latest scientific and technological achievements and made their debut in the exhibition.
