On May 14, the 2021 Hubei Culture and Tourism Promotion Conference was held in Changsha. Huanggang, Xianning, Ezhou and Qianjiang cities, 4 scenic spots and 5 travel agencies in Hubei Province made presentations. Vice Governor Zhu Zhongming of Hunan Province and Vice Governor Zhang Wenbing of Hubei Province attended the event and delivered speeches.

Zhu Zhongming pointed out that Hunan and Hubei are important provinces in central China. Under the new circumstances where the country vigorously implements the strategy of the rapid rise of central China and promotes the high-quality development of the region, Hunan and Hubei have a good foundation for cooperation and huge development potential in many sectors. The two provinces are complementary in resources and linked by high-speed railways. Cooperation sectors may cover culture and tourism integration, brand building, product development, exchange of tourists, marketing, and talent training. Vice Governor Zhu hoped that Hunan and Hubei will join hands and enhance cooperation. 

Zhang Wenbing pointed out that Hubei and Hunan can adhere to the principles of mutual complementarity, mutual benefit, and common development, give full play to their advantages in cultural tourism resources, conduct close cooperation, jointly promote high-quality development of cultural tourism, and create a good living environment for the people. Efforts will be made to build the city cluster along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River into a low-carbon smart barrier-free tourism area, an important part of the Yangtze River Tourism Belt, and a cluster of tourist destinations with global influence. Vice Governor Zhang invited tourists from home and abroad to visit Hubei, to experience culture charm and natural beauty.
