The Huaihua West Railway Marshalling Station is relocated from the original Huaihua South Railway Station and was put into operation at the end of last year. It is a secondary marshalling station with four yards. It not only frees up more space for the development of Huaihua City, but also reduces the cross-term interference of trains.

Meanwhile, it links the Huaihua General Railway Station, Huaihua West Freight Train Station, and Huaihua South High-speed Railway Station. It also connects six mainline railways of Hunan-Guizhou, Jiaozuo-Liuzhou, Chongqing-Huaihua, Shanghai-Kunming, Huaihua-Shaoyang-Hengyang, and Zhangjiajie-Jishou-Huaihua. This has greatly unblocked the hub node.

After the construction of the station, the marshalling operation in the hub was handled here. There were more than 3,500 carriages handled recently, including over 70 paired trains. The freight train transportation time from Huaihua to Guangxi has been shortened by 90 minutes. The cargo transportation capacity has increased by 12.5%. The traffic capacity from Huaihua to Chengdu and Chongqing has surged by more than 600%. The railway channel capacity and passenger and cargo transportation efficiency have been greatly improved.
