The 4th “Splendid Hunan” Cultural Tourism Innovation and Creativity Competition was inaugurated in Xupu County, Huaihua, on May 12, 2021.

This session, themed on “Splendid Hunan, Charming Xuefeng Mountain”, will solicit cultural tourism entries in five categories – image communication and design; commodity design; space design; revolution-themed products; and, travel notes and planning and photography. 

The organizing committee aimed to create a new mechanism for the implementation of cultural tourism products, and a brand operation system for cultural tourism products. It will raise the profile of the recommended cultural and ecological travel routes, and boost integrated development of cultural and tourism industries.
 
Designated registration channels on WeChat public account “文创湖南” and the h-etrip platform are open to group or individual applicants.

Besides, a “ Cultural Creation Plan for 100 Huaihua Brands” program will be launched. It will set up 100 awards, focus on developing and commercializing 100 quality cultural creation works, and highlight 100 local tribes, villages, and scenic spots. It aims to promote local rural vitalization through development cultural tourism, and innovative development of local cultural tourism industry.

There will be five phases – launching; soliciting; selecting; awarding; and, commercialization of selected works. One hundred awards will be granted.
 
The awards for the first four categories include: one special award with a bonus of 80,000 yuan; three gold awards, each with a bonus of 30,000 yuan; 12 silver awards, each with a bonus of 10,000 yuan; and, 48 bronze awards, each with a bonus of 3,000 yuan.
 
The awards for last category, i.e. travel notes and planning and photography include 2 gold awards, each with a bonus of 10,000 yuan; 6 silver awards, each with a bonus of 5,000 yuan; and, 28 bronze awards, each with a bonus of 2,000 yuan.
 
The cash bonus will amount to 540,000 yuan.
