On May 11, KHL Group, the world's authoritative construction machinery information provider, released the 2021 Top 50 Global Construction Machinery Manufacturers, or the Yellow Table 2021. Construction machinery sales in China bucked the trend, rising by about 14% and accounting for more than a third of the global market, even as sales in other major markets have declined.

Ten Chinese companies were included in the top 50 list. Among them, there were three in from Changsha, namely Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (Sany), Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (Zoomlion), and Sunward Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. (Sunward). This further raised Changsha’s profile as the “Capital of Construction Machinery”.
