Secretary Xu Meets with AECC President Cao

Xu Dazhe, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary and Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee director, met in Changsha with Cao Jianguo, Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC) president and Party secretary.

Provincial leaders Zhang Jianfei and Chen Fei attended.

Secretary Xu said that Hunan has maintained a steady and progressive development trend in recent years. The strength of advantageous industries such as construction machinery, rail transit, and aerospace power has been increased, the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry accelerated, and good results achieved in economy, innovation, opening up, and people’s livelihood. Especially last year, during the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic, poverty, and floods, we accomplished results that the Party and people were satisfied with.

He noted that when General Secretary Xi Jinping came to Hunan for inspection, he affirmed the achievements of various work in Hunan and set the goal of building “Three Highlands” and fulfilling “Four New Missions” for Hunan. The whole province now has been implementing the “Three Highlands and Four New Missions” Strategy in accordance with the decision and deployment of General Secretary. We need to deepen our cooperation with various powerful enterprises including AECC. He hoped that AECC, based on the profound partnership with Hunan, will continue to improve the development quality and efficiency of its Hunan branches; further adjust its industrial layout in Hunan; push forward the development of more major projects and scientific research teams in Hunan; and, contribute more in assisting Hunan in aviation industry development and the implementation of “Three Highlands and Four New Missions” Strategy.

President Cao promised that AECC will give full play to its advantages, based on Hunan's sound development environment, to strengthen innovative R&D and industrial layout, integrate into “Three Highlands and Four New Missions” Strategy implementation, and work with Hunan to make new contributions to the national aviation industry.
