Between May 6 and 7, Hunan Vice Governor He Baoxiang led a delegation to participate in the first China International Consumer Products Expo (Hainan Expo) which was held in Haikou, Hainan Province. He also paid a special visit to the Office of the Hunan Provincial People’s Government in the Hainan Free Trade Port.

The first Hainan Expo opened at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center on May 6, 2021. Forty-nine Hunan-based enterprises participated, covering food and health products, consumer electronics, minerals and gems, fashionable lifestyle products, and cultural and creative products. During his visit at the Hunan pavilion, Vice Governor He asked the participating enterprises to grasp this opportunity to make improvement, raise their profiles, and promote their featured products in both Chinese and international markets.

He then made a special visit to the Office of the Hunan Provincial People’s Government in the Hainan Free Trade Port. He noted that, the office as China’s first unit designated by provincial government to the Hainan Free Trade Port, will make its contributions to economic and social development of Hunan and Hainan provinces. It will play its role as a bridge between Hunan and Hainan enterprises to facilitate their investments, exchanges, and cooperation, and serve the implementation of Hunan’s Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy; as a window to showcase and promote Hunan products to go global; and, as an assistant to support Hunan-based enterprises, especially in learning about Hainan’s innovative policy, experience, and practices for the free trade port, and facilitating the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone construction.
