The 2021 Hunan Consumption Promotion Season was inaugurated in Shaoyang on April 28. Themed “enjoy consumption, discover Hunan’s charm”, the event aims to upgrade traditional consumption, foster new consumption patterns, and promote consumption in both urban and rural areas.

According to the Hunan Department of Commerce, two main activities would be held. One is coupon presenting. It is supported by major payment platforms, covering retail sales and catering business. The other is Hunan quality and specialty product promotion, including specialty dishes of counties; time-honored brands; and, quality products for export. The activity will integrate Hunan-based consumption brands to establish pool of quality consumer goods, attract enterprises to use the governmental public service platform for promoting Hunan products to overseas markets, and raise the profile of Hunan-based consumption brands and increase their market shares.
