On April 20, Xu Dazhe, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary and Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee director, visited Yiyang City. He inspected the implementation of rural revitalization strategy, agricultural and rural modernization, and spring farming in Anhua and Taojiang counties. He asked to follow Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; carry out the three new development requirements of new development stage, philosophy, and paradigm; uphold the underlying principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability; and, coordinate the two major issues of development and security. He called for taking responsibilities in the implementation of the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy; taking the lead in promoting high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt; and, bringing about “great changes in mountainous and rural areas” when implementing rural revitalization in the new era. Yiyang should make itself a pearl on the shore of the Dongting Lake and make its contributions to the construction of a modern new Hunan, he added.

Zhang Jianfei, CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary-general, and Sui Zhongcheng, Hunan vice governor, joined the inspection tour.
