Historical Site of Provisional Government of Republic of Korea in Changsha Opens

The memorial hall of the Changsha activity site of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, also known as activity former site of Kim Koo, opened on April 5, 2021, on the occasion of the launching ceremony of the Year of Cultural Exchange between China and South Korea.

Starting from April this year, the memorial hall will set the first Monday of each month as its “Open Day". It opens to Changsha citizens and Koreans working and living in Changsha for free. Changsha residents with ID cards and Koreans with passports can make an appointment to visit the museum by making a call at 0731-85180887.

The memorial hall is located at No. 6, Nanmu Hall, Chaozong Historical and Cultural Street, Kaifu District, Changsha City. April 5 marked the first open day after its 4-year closure for renovation.

The three floors of the historical site are open to visitors from 9:00 to 11:00 in the morning and 1:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon. A reasonable guide route was set up. Thematic videos will be played at 10 am, 11 am, 3 pm, and 4 pm respectively. Guide services will be provided if needed.

The " Open Day" event is part of the celebrations of the Year of China-South Korea Cultural Exchange. It aims to inherit the traditional friendship between China and South Korea and meet the needs of citizens for an in-depth understanding of the history and culture of the two countries. The memorial hall will be a window for the two peoples to understand and communicate with each other, to promote cultural exchanges and enhance China-South Korea friendship.
