Vice Governor Chen Visits Jiangxi, Zhejiang

Between March 29 and April 1, Hunan Vice Governor Chen Wenhao made an inspection tour to Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces to observe their efforts in forest chief system reform, forest carbon sink, territorial spatial planning, village planning, urban landscape design, and aquatic tail water treatment.


On March 30, Chen visited Jiangxi’s Zhaoxian, Meiling, and Taiping towns to learn about village-level forest chief system, homestay, and coordinate management of mountains, waters, forests, farmland, lakes and grassland in Leigang Village. He talked about the “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” principle, and the comprehensive integration of forest protection and utilization. 


At a meeting then, leaders of the two provinces exchanged views on integrating protection and utilization of natural reserves, non-commercial forest, and natural forest. They expected to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning, to promote high-quality development of forestry in both provinces.


On March 31, Chen visited the Yunqi Cloud Town Planning Hall and the City Brain Operation Command Center in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, to learn about the development and operation mechanism of the town.


Provincial leaders exchanged views on the aspects of territorial spatial planning, village planning, urban landscape design, and ecological environment. He hoped to promote mutual learning and deepen communication, to improve capacity in natural resource and ecological environment governance.


Li Xianxing, deputy secretary general of the Hunan Provincial People’s Government, and related officials of Hunan provincial departments, attended the tours.
