Half Marathon Held in Changsha to Promote Integrated Development of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster

A half marathon was held in Changsha on March 28, with 3,000 runners participating. It is part of the cultural, tourism and sports series activities to promote the integrated development of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city cluster.

The event included a half marathon and a 5-km happy run. The half marathon started and ended at the Village Committee of Xuxing Village, Muyun Neighborhood, Tianxin District, Changsha, with a total length of about 21.0975 kilometers. An Zhen won the men's half marathon in 1 hour, 6 minutes and 22 seconds, and Yang Bingyang won the women's half marathon in 1 hour, 17 minutes and 29 seconds. 

The marathon was sponsored by the People's Government of Tianxin District, Changsha City; the People's Government of Shifeng District, Zhuzhou City; and, the People's Government of Yuetang District, Xiangtan City. It aimed to demonstrate new achievements in the integrated development of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city cluster, promote rural tourism of the three cities, and further enrich the connotation of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Cultural and Tourism “Circle of Friends”.
