The 2021 Taohuayuan Cultural Tourism Festival was inaugurated on March 25. Wang Xiaofeng, member of the CPC leading group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, granted a “National 5A-Class Scenic Area” certificate to the Taohuayuan Scenic Area. Hunan Vice Governor Xie Weijiang announced the opening of the festival. More than 400 scholars and tourism practitioners participated.

The Taohuayuan Cultural Tourism Festival, an important tourism celebration calling card in Hunan, is hosted by the Hunan Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Changde Municipal People’s Government. The theme of this year is “visiting Taohuayuan to start a new journey”. 
 
In recent years, the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People’s Government have given priority to boost integration of culture and tourism. Concentrated efforts have been made in promoting the “Splendid Xiaoxiang” all-for-one tourism brands, and developing a batch of representative travel routes, including trips to Hometowns of Great Men and charming Xiangxi. Ascending to national 5A-class level, the Taohuayuan Scenic Area has become a shining pearl in Hunan, even China.

During the opening ceremony, the Taohuayuan Tourism Management Committee reached cooperation agreements with the Hunan TV & Broadcast Intermediary Co., Ltd., and the Agricultural Development Bank of China (ADBC) Changde Branch. In the following three years since 2021, the ADBC Changde Branch will provide credit funds of more than six billion CNY to support key projects construction in the scenic area. 
 
A Taohuayuan Culture and Tourism Integrated Development Forum was held. 
 
On that night, 2,000 UAVs formed hundreds of peach blossoms in the air, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
