Several experts from the Ukraine, Benin, and Bangladesh, and young volunteers from Madagascar, Zambia, Nigeria, Nepal, and Pakistan, all residing in Hunan, participated in tree planting at the Heimi Peak National Forest Park in Changsha on March 23, 2021.
They worked energetically and collaborated in planting more than 100 tea-oil saplings. Waste ground was turned into a tea garden through their efforts.
Dr. Mostak Ahamed Galib from Bangladesh said that, this activity is part of the government’s long-term environmental protection plan. It gave him with a chance to appreciate Hunan’s spectacular landscape while practicing and learning about ecology and environmental protection, he added.
This activity, the first foreign expert volunteer service event of the year, was organized by the Hunan Department of Science and Technology, Central South University, and the Houhu International Youth Entrepreneurship and Cooperation Center. They planted trees of friendship to contribute to Hunan’s green development. The activity promoted international exchange and friendship, and facilitated foreign experts and volunteers integration into Hunan society.
