A program entitled “TV Cloud Classroom of the University for Veteran Cadres of Changsha” was launched at the Changsha Veteran Cadres Activity Center recently. It is the province’s first online education program for the elderly that will be presented via multiple media channels.

The program is a senior citizen education brand created by the University for Veteran Cadres of Changsha and the Changsha Radio and Television News Center. It is an innovative attempt to alleviate the insufficiency of education resources for the elderly, improve the lifelong learning system, and promote the construction of a learning-oriented society.

The program will be aired on Changsha Radio and Television Political and Legal Channel every week, and broadcast live on the “Good Golden Autumn Time” Column of the “Smart Changsha” APP every Thursday morning. It will also be delivered daily through mobile platforms on buses and subways. Fine courses with various forms and rich contents will be presented to the elderly, such as songs, fitness dances, health preserving and talks on hot issues.
