Customs statistics showed that, in the first two months of 2021, Changsha’s cross-border e-commerce exports rose by 44.7 times over the same period of last year to 2.95 billion yuan.
Cross-border e-commerce has become an important way to get Chinese manufacturing industry and global consumption connected, and played an important part in stabilizing the country’s foreign trade.
Changsha was approved as the country’s cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot area in 2018. Since then, the Changsha government has seized the opportunity to enhance cross-border e-commerce companies’ strength, smooth international transport channels and improve the environment. Changsha’s cross-border e-commerce has surged since 2020.
