On March 18, the Hunan Provincial People’s Government Information Office announced at a press conference that the second Changsha International Construction Machinery Exhibition (CICEE) will be held at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center between May 19 and 22, 2021. It will be the only construction machinery industry exhibition on such a large scale in the world this year, with an exhibition area of 300,000 sqm.

This year’s exhibition will surpass the first session in 2019 in the aspects of precision goals, scale, standard, and level of internationalization. It has set a goal of becoming a world-class, and the world’s third largest, construction machinery exhibition.

This year’s CICEE is under the theme of “Intelligent New Generation of Construction Machinery”. Nearly 10,000 kinds of construction machineries and auxiliary equipment and parts will be on display. Among them, 10% exhibits are cutting-edge, and will make their debuts.

There will be exhibitions, summit forums, commercial activities, and competitions and performances. Nearly 1,500 exhibitors will attend, including 30 of the world’s Top 50 construction machinery producers, such as Caterpillar Inc. and Hitachi Construction Machinery Group.

A variety of activities will be held, including:
- Five main activities – opening ceremony; Dialogue—CCTV’s programme with construction machinery leaders; national conference on natural disaster prevention and control technology and equipment modernization; Changsha International Construction Machinery Industrial Chain Development Conference; and, 2021 Changsha International Construction Machinery Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Forum;
- Thirty high-end forums, such as “Belt and Road” International Infrastructure Construction Forum;
- Three competitions – Changsha Cup International Construction Machinery Design Competition; construction machinery intelligent product competition; and, innovative product and technology competition; and,
- More than 100 commercial activities. 

 
The exhibition is hosted by the China Machinery Industry Federation, China Construction Machinery Society, Hunan Department of Industry and Information Technology, Hunan Department of Commerce, CCPIT Hunan Sub-council, and Changsha Municipal People’s Government.
