On March 15, Harbin Electric Corporation and Hunan Xing Xiang Investment Holding Group signed an agreement in Changsha. According to the agreement, Harbin Electric Corporation will restructure XEMC Windpower and set up its wind power equipment manufacturing headquarters, R&D headquarters, and sales headquarters in Hunan. Harbin Electric Corporation will engage in wind energy business with XEMC Windpower as the main entity. Yao Laiying, member of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial Committee and Party secretary of the Hunan State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and Vice Governor Chen Fei met with Party secretary and chairman of Harbin Electric Corporation Si Zefu. They attended the signing ceremony.
Harbin Electric Corporation Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager Wu Weizhang, and Hunan Xing Xiang Investment Holding Group Party Secretary and Chairman Yang Guoping, signed this agreement on behalf of the two sides.
Signing the agreement is a significant action to implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s speeches during his inspection tour in Hunan and to promote the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy. It is important for the implementation of the "Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement" signed between the Hunan government and Harbin Electric Corporation. Hunan Xing Xiang Investment Holding Group plays its role as a state-owned assets operating platform to revitalize XEMC Windpower’s assets. It will introduce Harbin Electric Corporation’s high-quality resources such as advanced technology, professional team, and management mode, to boost the development of XEMC Windpower, and facilitate Hunan Province’s wind power equipment manufacturing development.
