Hunan’s first intelligent electric power experience center was inaugurated in Yiyang on March 15, 2021.

The center aims to promote power supply service halls to transfer their functions towards the service-oriented, experience-based, intelligent, and online-offline integrated orientations.

On that morning, many visitors tried intelligent home appliances at the center. They clicked the screen to learn about power transmission from power plant to households, and experienced various intelligent power appliances.

There are new energy vehicles on display at the “Green Commuting” area. Visitors can take a VR experience of driving a new energy car, and handle electric vehicle business. One-step service is provided, including car purchasing, mortgage handling, charging pile installation, car examination, and insurance transaction.

“More and more users handle their electric power business online while the number of visitors to physical service halls shrink,” said Yi Jiangteng, vice general manager of the State Grid Yiyang Power Supply Company. The center, formerly the State Grid Chaoyang Power Supply Service Hall, plays a role of “intelligent classroom”. In addition to conventional power services, it would pay more attention to client experience, and enable visitors to experience green energy application scenarios via interactive equipment, physical display, and VR technology.

The State Grid Hunan Electric Power Company Limited will plan for service halls construction this year, including optimizing layout of the service halls, and completing comprehensive upgrading of 13 service halls around the province.
