A ceremony celebrating the release of a new Hunan province annual travel card was held in Changsha on March 7. It continues discount policies for scenic areas and hotels, and expands services to cultural and sports venues. 

The Hunan province travel card was issued in 2010.

There is a physical and a digital card. There is an upgraded regular card and a cultural, tourism and sports card.

Cardholders enjoy access to the cultural, tourism, and sports resources across Hunan either at a discount or gratis.

The new card:
-- offers 20 items of gratis or discount at places such as the Hunan Museum, the Hunan Library, Helong Stadium, and Xiaoxiang Movie Theater,
-- includes 7 national 5A-level scenic areas, 1 world cultural heritage site, 4 hot springs, more than 10 internet-famous sites, 3 cultural tourism performances, and more than 30 national 4A-level scenic areas; and,
-- costs 288 yuan, with a savings of more than 6,500 yuan as the combined single-pass admission fees of all the places.

Cultural, tourism and sports cardholders enjoy all the privileges of the upgraded annual card, and may get a free night’s stay at Jiangyong Nvshu Hotel, free admission to the Changsha Concert Hall and the Changsha Qindao Performing Arts Theater for one time, and enjoy a free movie at the Xiaoxiang Movie Theater. The price for the card is 365 yuan.
