“Learn from Lei Feng” Publicity Campaign Held at Lei Feng Memorial Hall

A “Learn from Lei Feng” themed publicity campaign to mark the Lei Feng Day was held at the Hunan Lei Feng Memorial Hall on March 4, 2021. The campaign was livestreamed at four venues.  

Wangcheng in Hunan Province and Fushun in Liaoning Province were approved to establish “Learning from Lei Feng” Bases of the China Literary and Art Volunteers’ Association (CLAVA). 

A number of Wangcheng-based model groups and individuals in 2020 were commended. Feng Gong, deputy chairperson of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) and CLAVA chairman, delivered a speech via video. He called for volunteers to promote Lei Feng spirit, and follow Lei Feng’s good example to devote to doing good deeds.

Choruses, recitation, and dance performances were staged to commemorate Lei Feng as an outstanding CPC member, and mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

This campaign presented a Lei Feng-related art volunteer service layout, consisting of Changsha’s Wangcheng District, his hometown; Liaoning’s Fushun, where he joined the army; the troop which he served; and, online art volunteers. Online-to-offline and cross-regional livestreaming and interactions were organized to promote Lei Feng spirit to the public.

The event was hosted by CLAVA, Hunan Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Liaoning Federation of Literary and Art Circles, CPC Fushun Municipality Committee Publicity Department, CPC Wangcheng District Committee, and Wangcheng District People’s Government.
