Crowds of people visited the hall that day to commemorate Lei Feng. In order to better serve the visitors for a better experience, the hall offers more free services and keeps improving the quality. Admission, guide, tea, and supplies for people with disabilities are all free.

Background information:

March 5 has been designated as “Learn from Lei Feng Day”, or “Lei Feng Day” after Chairman Mao Zedong called on the whole nation to learn from Lei in 1963, one year after the soldier died in an accident at the age of 22. Since then, the soldier, known for selflessly devoting his time and money to those in need, has long been held up as a virtuous example for others to emulate.
