Hunan-based NPC Deputies Arrive in Beijing

At noon on March 3, the Hunan-based National People’s Congress (NPC) deputies attending the Fourth Session of the 13th NPC arrived at the Beijing Capital International Airport via the China Southern Airlines Flight CZ8961.

During the flight, the delegates had a lively discussion in the cabin and were full of expectations for the upcoming event. They mentioned about the following topics:
Contributing to the “14th Five-Year Plan”;
Building the “Three Highlands”;
Implementing the rural revitalization strategy;
Advancing the ecological civilization construction;
Ensuring and improving the people’s livelihood, and;
Inheriting the revolutionary traditions.

“China has scored a ‘complete victory’ in the fight against poverty, and we will continue to strive for rural revitalization,” said Deputy Li Xiaohong, a National Advanced Individual in Poverty Alleviation. She introduced that she will focus on the hot spots and difficulties of the rural revitalization strategy and make suggestions on how to assist agriculture, rural areas, and farmers through industries at this year’s national “Two Sessions”.

Delegate Yang Li from the Dongting Lake area brought a banner with signatures of nearly 200 fishermen and fisherwomen moving ashore. On the banner was a slogan, reading “supporting ’10-Year Fishing Ban’ and ‘Safeguarding the Yangtze River’”. Yang Li also brought relevant suggestions on the follow-up assistance for fishermen and fisherwomen who have moved ashore.
