Changsha held a meeting on February 22 morning on promoting the integrated development of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan (CZT) city cluster. Xia Jianping, Standing Committee member of CPC Changsha Municipal Committee and executive vice mayor of Changsha, stressed the need to improve political position and give full play to Changsha’s exemplary, leading and driving role. Changsha should assume its due responsibility as the provincial capital in accelerating the integrated development of the CZT city cluster.

The meeting heard a work report on Changsha promoting the integrated development of CZT city cluster. It also reviewed a draft of the Five-year (2021-2025) Implementation Plan for Changsha City to Promote the Integrated Development of the CZT City Cluster, and arranged the work on 30 Changsha-related CZT integration landmark projects in 2021, as well as work on accelerating the construction of specific projects in 2021.

Executive Vice Mayor Xia Jianping pointed out that, the CZT integration has stood at a new historical starting point. Departments at all levels in the city should:

--Conscientiously implement the spirit of the first leading group meeting for the Integrated Development of the CZT city cluster, and the arrangements and requirements of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the Hunan Provincial People’s Government, the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee and the Changsha Municipal People’s Government;

--Serve the province’s overall high-quality development from a strategic height and with a high sense of historical mission and responsibility, and take concrete actions to promote the integrated development of the CZT city cluster;

--Focus on the two key words, integration and high-quality, and precisely decompose and specify the work tasks of Changsha City in 2021 and the next five years to promote the integrated development of the CZT city cluster; and,

--Establish and improve the working mechanism for promoting the integrated development of the CZT city cluster, strengthen coordination to solve problems, and form stronger synergy.

All these will help ensure new progress for each project and smooth process for each item, and highlight the mighty forces and promising prospects of the CZT integration.
