On the morning of February 18, a China-Europe Railway Express train full of 100 TEUs departed from Changsha International Railway Port. It will pass through Erenhot entry-exit port and arrive at the Zhodino Geely Plant, Belarus in 14 days. The train took Geely Automobile's complete sets of spare parts, with a weight of 214.7 tons and a value of about 2.4 million USD. It is the 70th train of the China-Europe Railway Express (Changsha) and the 6th train of Geely Automobile in 2021.

In recent years, Geely vehicles have been selling well in Belarus. It takes 2 to 3 months to export by traditional transportation, which cannot meet the needs of enterprises. “In order to meet Geely’s high requirement on timeliness, we offered 'one-to-one' logistics solutions and 'door-to-door' services. We participate in scheme design from the design source and jointly promote containers to be suitable for non-standard products. The whole process took only 22 days. It greatly helped Geely Automobile to rank first in sales in the Russian-speaking region,” said Ye Hongbin, general manager of the Central South China International Land Port Co., Ltd.

The Changsha Municipal People’s Government Logistics and Port Office has coordinated multiple parties including Xingsha Customs and railways to maintain close cooperation, to ensure the stability of the industrial supply chain in Hunan during the Spring Festival holiday, and to meet the needs of export-oriented enterprises such as Hunan manufacturing and cross-border e-commerce for logistics channels. There were 1 to 2 China-Europe Railway Express (Changsha) trains running daily during the Spring Festival holiday, which effectively guaranteed the smooth flow of trade channels in Hunan and surrounding cities.

“This year marks the beginning of the ‘14th Five-Year Plan’ period. We will further deepen international capacity cooperation, strengthen cargo trains organization, improve port clearance efficiency, promote deep integration of China-Europe freight trains and manufacturing industry, and build a China-Europe Railway Express assembly center.” Yang Li, Changsha Municipal People’s Government Logistics and Port Office CPC Leadership Group secretary and director said.
