Between February 11 and 17, Hunan’s airports handled 2,309 flights and 194,000 passenger trips, according to the Hunan Airport Group. The Changsha Huanghua International Airport handled 1,520 flights and 146,000 passenger trips.
The pre-ordered flights saw volatility caused by regional epidemic regulations. The main destinations included Haikou, Sanya, Chongqing, Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, and Kunming.
In spite of sharp shrink of passenger flows, the airports guaranteed services and epidemic prevention. Changsha airport presented limited edition post cards to passengers. Hengyang airport improved enquiry service, and services for passengers with special needs.
Volunteer services were launched at all airports. Volunteers assisted in order maintenance, enquiry and guide, and other services for passengers’ convenience. Special service appointment for special needs passengers, and assistance to the elderly with difficulty in registering health QR codes, were available.
