Secretary Xu Holds Meeting on Holiday Travel, Tourism Safety Work

On February 14, Xu Dazhe, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary and Hunan Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee director, held a meeting at the Hunan Provincial Public Security Department, to rearrange the provincial traffic and tourism safety work during the Spring Festival holiday. He stressed the need to study and understand President Xi Jinping’s important speeches on production safety, put the people’s safety first, and further improve ideological understanding. Responsibilities should be further clarified to safeguard the bottom line of security. Efforts should be made to do a good job in ensuring safe and smooth travel during the holiday, and protect the safety of the people's lives and property and overall social security and stability.

Xie Jianhui, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Standing Committee member and Hunan executive vice governor, presided over the meeting. Zhang Jianfei, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Standing Committee member and CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary-general; and, Xu Xianhui and Zhu Zhongming, Hunan vice governors, attended.

Secretary Xu listened to the reports of some municipal and provincial departments via a video conference, and communicated with traffic police, market supervision cadres, and other front-line personnel. According to the reports, most parts of Hunan have witnessed sunny weather recently, and the traffic and visitor flows at scenic spots showed an upward trend. The pressure to maintain traffic and tourism safety has been further increased.
