A team of 5 intensive care medical experts from the Xiangya Hospital of Central South University returned to Changsha on February 8 after finishing their tasks in the virus-hit Jilin Province.

The medical team was dispatched by the Bureau of Medical Administration of the National Health Commission. They headed towards Jilin Province on January 26 to assist epidemic containment and treatment there. The 5 medics are from Xiangya Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) , namely, Professor Zhang Lina, Associate Professor Ma Xinhua, Doctor-in-charge Li Li, Nurse-in-charge Zheng Congjun, and Nurse-in-charge Sun Yang.

The medical team’s work was highly praised by local hospitals and other national medical teams. With the epidemic under control, they completed their mission and returned.
