The photos, taken on February 3, shows villagers pluck stem lettuces at a cooperative vegetable plantation in Hanshou County, Changde. Hanshou, one of Hunan’s major vegetable supplier and reliable vegetable production base, has nearly 450,000 mu (more than 30,000 ha.) of vegetable plantations. The annual vegetable output exceeds 1.5 million tons, worth 2 billion CNY. These vegetables are mainly supplied to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Great Bay Area, and exported to Japan and Singapore.
