3 Proposals, 1,516 Suggestions Submitted to Hunan’s Annual Session

As of January 26, deputies to the fourth session of the 13th Hunan Provincial People’s Congress submitted three proposals and a record high of 1,516 suggestions to the session, according to the secretariat of the session on January 28.

The three proposals were on formulating regulations on improving business environment, on amending regulations on protecting world natural heritage site—Wulingyuan, and on drawing up social assistance regulations. They were deliberated by special committees of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress. The committees agreed that the proposals were in compliance with the requirements and within the power of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress and its Standing Committee.

Presidium of fourth session of the 13th Hunan Provincial People’s Congress held its fourth session and decided to forward the proposals to special committees of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress for deliberation and submitted the deliberation results to the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress.

Zhang Yunying, head of the proposal group of the session secretariat, lauded the high-quality suggestions submitted by deputies. A total of 1,088 suggestions were made through special surveys, accounting for 71.8% of the total. They focused on the “three highlands and four new missions” strategy, Hunan Province's 14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development, rural vitalization, and high-quality development.
