Hunan Vice Governor He Baoxiang inspected the work of the three parts of Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone--Changsha, Yueyang, and Chenzhou and held discussions on the pilot free trade zone construction between January 6 and 12, 2021.

Vice Governor He and his entourage successively visited such enterprises and projects as the Chenzhou Xingsheng Youxuan Southwest Logistics Industrial Park, the China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Innovation Demonstration Park, and the Yueyang Yonggao Composite New Materials Production Base.

He emphasized that Changsha, Yueyang, and Chenzhou should improve their political positions, and take the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important speech made when inspecting Hunan as the guide, to benchmark the strategic requirements of the “Three Highlands and Four New Missions”, the “14th Five-Year Plan” development goals, the implementation plan of the free trade pilot zone construction, and the objective requirements for high-quality development. He asked to:
-Highlight innovation, focus on key points, and build a free trade pilot zone with high quality and standards;
-Take institutional innovation as the core, experiment and try boldly, and reform independently, to promote the implementation of the reform pilot tasks;
-Be problem-oriented to implement the strategic tasks of “one industry, one park, and one corridor”;
-Give full play to comparative advantages; develop strengths and make up for shortcomings; tackle difficult points, remove block, maintain key points, and strengthen supporting points;
-Improve the advancement, stability and competitiveness of the industrial supply chain;
-Take development as the goal and highlight regional characteristics and advantageous industries;
-Develop airport economy in Changsha, port economy in Yueyang, and direct link between Hunan, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in Chenzhou;
-Integrate advancement of domestic and foreign trade, domestic and foreign investment, wholesale and retail, internal and external region, and, primary, secondary and tertiary industries; and,
-Increase investment and policy support, promote the differentiated development of industries in the area, and create beneficial experience in building a new development pattern.

Hunan Provincial People’s Government Deputy Secretary-General Chen Xianchun, and relevant officials from the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, Department of Finance, and Changsha Customs, attended.
